On July 24, 2021, three firefighters from Lower Merion Township were responding to an accident on the notorious Schuylkill Expressway.
They were just finishing up their cleanup when a driver smashed through the site’s barricades and warning lights.
The crash claimed the life of one firefighter and left two critically injured.
The fire station and the families of the three victims brought claims against the driver.
