We recently had a case with a client who would not heed some of our legal advice.
Unfortunately, he was friends with a lawyer who was funneling him information regarding the value of the case.
When I asked the client if his “lawyer friend” had read the 20,000 pages of medical records, the 20 depositions that were taken, the hundreds of pages of expert reports, he hesitated. The lawyer had done no such thing.
We finally asked the client to listen to our advice, which he did.
