Limiting cross-examination

by | Apr 20, 2026 | One Time in Court Story

We recently had a trial where the defendants brought in a leading cardiologist in the country to testify for the defendant doctors.

During cross-examination, we were able to limit the questioning in a very specific fashion.

The witness kept asking if he could “explain himself,” which the judge declined.

There were so many instances where the witness wanted to “explain himself” that the jury totally discounted his testimony, and we had a successful result.

If you or a loved one has been injured due to someone else’s negligence, it’s time to take a stand.
